Ghent-Water tourist

Experience Ghent from the water, a unique way to discover the city. Travel back to the Middle Ages and learn about the prestigious past as you sail past the beautiful facades, old meat hall and the breathtaking Castle of the Counts. Ghent-Watertoist offers guided tours of 40 minutes, by open and covered boats, through the historic city centre.

Different boats

Ghent-Water Tourist is open all year round and is the only one with fully covered boats as well as open boats, so you can sail in almost any weather. There are also two small electric ecological 'whisper boats'. 

Capacity

The total capacity is 450 persons divided into 10 open boats of 25 persons, 3 covered boats of 60 persons and 2 whisper boats of 10 persons.

Tailor-made program

In addition to the guided tours, Ghent-Watertoist also provides a tailor-made programme. This can range from a round trip with an aperitif on board to a full day programme with guided walk or cycle tour, visit to the museum, lunch and so on.
